Welcome to my laundry room :)
I didn’t make a New Year’s resolution this year. I did however make a plan to declutter my home. Since January, I have made several trips to the Goodwill and other charity drop box stations. But I am FAR from being finished. I have trouble staying in one place/room for very long. As a result, I have made quite a few messes around my house. It feels like I am actually taking a step back than forward :/ So…..I stopped that endless cycle this weekend. I finished 2…I will say it again…2 cluttered spaces in my home!
The first stop and DECLUTTERED room in my home is…drumroll please….The Laundry Room.
The laundry room is the only room in my home with coastal décor. I love the beach..the waves, the breeze, the whole setting is very calming to me. My husband and I had our first date at the beach – 13 years ago next week
So I thought it was the perfect décor for my laundry room – since you can find me there any day of the week. Just look for the woman sorting socks, socks, and more socks! I look something like this lady ![]()
AACK!
Not to be confused with this guy….Andy Samberg cracks me up!
Continuing with the tour…
Before
After
Before
After
I spent very little moolah on this room.
Decorative items were found at various places – Marshall’s, Target, Hobby Lobby, or given to me as a gift.
Bookcase – Dollar General $8 three years ago. I took the door off and spray painted (imagine that) it yellow $5. You can see it in the before photo, it was brown.
At this moment, the cleanest room in my home is the laundry room and that NEVER happens.
Next week, I will feature my kitchen. Yes, is is actually decluttered!
I would love to hear what you think!

Jen it looks great! Wish my laundry room was that big!! I can barely turn around in mine. Don’t know what the builder was thinking.
Thank you both! I may dislike MANY things about this house, but I love the laundry room.
WOW!!! It really looks great!! You are doing an awesome job!
I really like the look and feel of your laundry room. Loving the 3 laundry baskets lined up on that table. It really looks usable but nice. Enjoy.
Good Job! I am very impressed, my laundry room is the only space in my house NOT decorated. You have motivated me to do so!
Great work – I know that decluttering can be a real effort :) We have a lot of things hiding under our stairway. Well, not hiding, since I can see them all from the couch!
Wow! What a transformation. I need to finish my own laundry room. I too get distracted and skip from project to project, meaning nothing ever gets fully done.
It’s gorgeous! Thanks for sharing ~ come by and say hi sometime.
I love your laundry room! I wouldn’t mind spending time in that room! And my hubby would be happy because our laundry would actually get DONE! :) It’s gorgeous! Thanks for coming by Sassy Sites and linking up. Have a wonderful weekend!

I let out a big SIGH a the size of your laundry room.. I thought
I was special because I took out the ‘wire shelf’ and replaced
it with three wood shelves, over my washer/dryer.. my room
or rather closet is just that.. small!
Nice job on the coastal.. love it!
Sandy

I love this! Our downstairs bathroom has a beach-inspired theme but it’s so monochromatic. Lots of brown, beige, and blue. I love what you did with the paddle and wall art.

That looks absolutely fantastic! I think my favorite part was the painting of the little boy on the beach because it reminded me of my own sweet blondie boy at that age. :-) Thanks so much for sharing this great transformation with us this week at our Inspiration Friday party!
