I love anything made with chocolate.  Especially chocolate chip cookies! Thank you Martha Stewart for this wonderful recipe!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Bake

Ingredients

2  1/4 cups  all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp. baking soda

1 cup (2 sticks)  unsalted butter (room temperature)

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 cup packed light-brown sugar

1 tsp. salt

2 tsp. pure vanilla extract

2 large eggs

2 cups (about 12 ounces) semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the butter with both sugars; beat on medium speed until light and fluffy. Reduce speed to low; add the salt, vanilla, and eggs. Beat until well mixed.  Add flour mixture; mix until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.

*If you do not have an electric mixer, then combine ingredients with hand mixer or by hand.  However you normally make cookies Winking smile*

Spray bottom of 9 x 13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.  Spread cookie dough mixture evenly into dish.

Bake until golden around the edges, but still soft in the center, about 15 to 20minutes. Oven times may vary Smile. Remove from oven, and cool. Cut cookie bake into squares.  Enjoy!  Be sure to store in an air tight container.

***You can make normal chocolate chip cookies with the ingredients above.  Change baking time to a 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.***

Recipe adapted from Martha Stewart.

Front Porch Pendant Light

Happy Friday everyone! If you were here last Friday, then you know I promised an update each week on my front entrance makeover.  I do have a small update to share Smile.  Last Saturday, we made a family trip to Home Depot.  Who knew that growing up and owning a house also meant frequent trips to the hardware store?  My husband needed fertilizer for the lawn – he does a great job with our yard!  Then we strolled down the outdoor light aisle.  So many pretty lights, but so little money Winking smile.  However, we did find this one for $29.97!
