Happy Tuesday!

Last week, I went on Coupon Trip #2. I must be honest….not as fun as trip #1. More time was spent clipping, printing, sorting, and shopping. If you recall from previous posts, I become bored very easily! And when fun adventures start to feel like work – I am outta there! Don’t get me wrong, I am not one of those people that are against work and refuse to do it….but I don’t need a new chore added to my list. I am not saying that I will never coupon again. Just that the thrill seems to have faded for me. Not to mention, I have read several articles about how companies are changing coupon amounts and store coupon policies because of all the couponing hoarders out there. I know that may sound offensive..but it’s the truth. I mean I read it online, so it must be true..right? Anyway, do what makes you happy, but I will not become obsessed over the coupons. But in the end, we all love to save money. Even if I was quadruple billon kazillionaire, being thrifty is in my nature.
Stores: Albertson’s and Wal-mart.
Total Retail Price: $115.96
What I paid: $ 68.71
_______________________
Total Savings: $ 47.25
Not a crazy super amount saved…but still less than what I would normally pay and we USE all of it. Albertson’s doubles and triples my coupons, but Wal-mart only gives face value. Not too bad, but still not sure if it is worth the time. Especially since the thrill is kind of gone away for me.
Best deals:
Candy bars = free
Pickle relish = $.25 per jar
Seasoning = $1.00 each (we use this seasoning all the time)
Juice = $1.00 per jug
Happy Thursday!
Happy Couponing – if you enjoy that kind of thing

I love all Italian food! Breadsticks and Cheesy Bread are two of my favorites! I found this recipe on Pinterest from Lick the Bowl Good. Monica has wonderful recipes on her blog, and she takes fabulous photos! She adapted this recipe from Rachel Ray and Cassie Craves. Just looking at this photo makes me want to go make some right now!
Pepperoni Pizza Puffs
Yields about 24 mini muffins
Ingredients:
3/4 cup flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 tablespoon Italian seasoning
3/4 cup whole milk
1 egg – lightly beaten
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup cubed pepperoni
1/2 cup store-bought pizza sauce
Non stick cooking spray
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Spray a 24-cup mini-muffin pan with non stick cooking spray. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and Italian seasoning. Then whisk in the milk and egg. Stir in the mozzarella, parmesan and pepperoni. Let stand for 10 minutes.
Stir the batter and divide among the mini-muffin cups. Bake until puffed and golden, 20 to 25 minutes.
Dip puffs into pizza sauce or enjoy plain.
***My batter didn’t fill the 24 mini muffin pan***
***You can also add a pinch of red pepper flakes if you choose

Link Parties:
I need some advice…yes, again. I recently bought 2 lamps from Kirkland’s. Super deal! They were each $21.97.
I thought I would put both lamps on my entry table. Yes, it was still bare after 2 months.
Not sure if I like the lamps on this table…??? Excuse the crazy cords
.
Maybe the gold bowl should go away..??
Please help!!! Several of you gave suggestions before..THANK YOU by the way
. Please tell me what you think – total honesty is requested.
Happy Friday!
Happy 4th of July!
