Last weekend I painted our guest bedroom. What a job!! Now I remember why I haven’t painted a room in about 8 years.
Painting is hard work.
Hard.
Especially when I had to climb up and down the ladder.
Up and down..up and down.
My legs were sore for 3 days. Which is sad, because I actually work out 4 days a week at the gym.
I will blame it on old age.

Somewhat a similar angle of the room. The color is quite a bit darker.
I still have a loooong way to go before this room is guest ready.
Here are a couple of uh-oh spots.

Happy Thursday! Which means tomorrow is Friday
. Woo Hoo!
Today is actually woo hoo for me because I am finished with my college summer semester!
So, if you happen to be wondering why my number of posts dwindled, it is because school comes first.
Thank you to everyone who has continued reading my blog throughout my busy summer.

I am painting the guest bedroom! Remember this post? This room is in sad shape. I have it taped and ready for paint. Check out my $5 oops can
.

Wish me luck! I haven’t painted a room since 2003..hahahaha! Crazy, right? I can’t wait to share with everyone. Hopefully no major mishaps
.
I will share my cherry cobbler recipe with you on Monday.
Have a fantastic weekend!!!!

Happy Friday! I have a couple of projects to share with you today.
First project: table update.

It worked! After priming, I sanded the top and sides. Then painted with…wait for it….
Spray paint. My husband said I should change the title of my blog to Can You Paint It? Ha!
I do love spray paint, but it isn’t the best choice for all projects. I used Zinsser primer and RustOleum spray paint in navy.
My favorite color is blue. All shades of blue. Navy is one of my absolute favorite shades. I have two of these tables (the other was not complete when this photo was taken
).
My first thought was to use this table as a bedside table in our guest room. Now I am not sure..??? I may use it in Z’s room. I will let you know when I decide. But even then, I may change my mind
.
Second Project: Can you fry an egg in 110 degree weather?

Sorry I haven’t posted in a few days. My mom, sister, and niece were in town and we were very busy! We had a super weekend – loved having them here!
Last Wednesday, I shared a new project. Here is an update.
The primer worked!!! Success!!!! Here is the table still, yes still, in progress
.

The next photo will be better – promise
.
Happy Monday!

Most of us have one of those cheap, round decorator tables. My plan is to use mine as a bedside table in my guest room. So…last night I decided to try and paint it.

This is only primer.
Then I ran out of primer.
Made a trip to Home Depot today for more primer.
Not sure if this idea of mine will actually work…but I am going to try.
Please don’t laugh if you KNOW if will not work.
Just politely tell me.
I will let you know if I pass or fail with this project.

Happy Hump Day!
Jen
