There has been little time in my life for shopping. Between school, the boys’ football, and everyday life, I have had zero time. Last Friday, some time became available. Woo Hoo! A few months ago, I found an antique store a few minutes away.

Pickers Point is a new store in town. This photo is old and from my cell phone. They have a new sign now. If you live in the area, you should go.
Their motto: A quick penny is better than a slow dollar. Love that motto. And so does my wallet. But seriously. This is the most reasonably priced antique store. Ever.
Look at this side table/nightstand.

$20! I did a bit of research, but didn’t find anything on this particular Kent Coffey collection. I am by no means an expert anitique dealer anyway. Ha! It reminds me of furniture my grandma had in her home. This beauty will soon be painted and added to my guest room. {Squeal!!!!!!} So excited with this find!
Look at these metal locker baskets.

$13 each. Not a bad price at all.
Last, but not least, this letter Z.

$2.50. I am slowly collecting letters for a project for my boys. Excuse the dust – not inside my house – in the garage. The dust inside my house it worse…
.
Have you found any good deals lately?
Keep Smiling!

Last week, I went on Coupon Trip #2. I must be honest….not as fun as trip #1. More time was spent clipping, printing, sorting, and shopping. If you recall from previous posts, I become bored very easily! And when fun adventures start to feel like work – I am outta there! Don’t get me wrong, I am not one of those people that are against work and refuse to do it….but I don’t need a new chore added to my list. I am not saying that I will never coupon again. Just that the thrill seems to have faded for me. Not to mention, I have read several articles about how companies are changing coupon amounts and store coupon policies because of all the couponing hoarders out there. I know that may sound offensive..but it’s the truth. I mean I read it online, so it must be true..right? Anyway, do what makes you happy, but I will not become obsessed over the coupons. But in the end, we all love to save money. Even if I was quadruple billon kazillionaire, being thrifty is in my nature.

Stores: Albertson’s and Wal-mart.
Total Retail Price: $115.96
What I paid: $ 68.71

Total Savings: $ 47.25
Not a crazy super amount saved…but still less than what I would normally pay and we USE all of it. Albertson’s doubles and triples my coupons, but Wal-mart only gives face value. Not too bad, but still not sure if it is worth the time. Especially since the thrill is kind of gone away for me.
Best deals:
Candy bars = free
Pickle relish = $.25 per jar
Seasoning = $1.00 each (we use this seasoning all the time)
Juice = $1.00 per jug
Happy Thursday!
Happy Couponing – if you enjoy that kind of thing

Remember the brass light fixture I bought from the Habitat for Humanity Restore? Well, it is finished! One less snow globe light = big smile on my face!
