Yesterday my baby turned 12. I know…that doesn’t make him a baby anymore. Next year his will be a teenager.
A teenager?

Photo is a little blurry. Store bought cake. My husband’s favorite tablecloth {sarcasm}. Dirty back door.
Not a perfect background, but a perfect smile.
Time flies. He has grown into an amazing young man. I am so proud to be in mother.

It’s that time of year again!!! Football. This year is all about football. NFL football. College football. Now, rec league football. Both boys are playing this year. Three to four days per week are dedicated to practice and games. I am loving every minute of it.
A’s team – Buckeyes.
Z’s team – Colts.
Both teams won this past Saturday. Both very exciting games.
A’s team won in double overtime.
This is the only picture he would let me take.

Little Z was tired as well.

I am proud of their hard work and determination. Win or lose.
Happy Monday!

By nature, I am a planner. I always have a plan. I don’t like for my plan to be disrupted.
Changed. Disturbed. Whatever.
Over the years, I have learned to deal with change better. Maybe that happens when you get married.
Or have children. Or maybe you figure out to just let things go.
I have discovered with blogging that I never have a plan. Lately, I write when I have time. Or I think I have something interesting to share.
Sometimes, my posts are lengthy. Sometimes short. Sometimes odd.
My thoughts are that way too. Ha!
Anyway, today I am sharing this little guy with you.

I started my fall semester this week. My ONE week off sure was nice…
. I am taking 10 hrs. My backpack is super heavy. Or maybe I am just old. HA! It has been 8 years since I carried my last one. For those of you who don’t know, I am going back to school for my second degree. My first degree is a BS in Elementary Education. I am currently pursuing a degree in nursing. Sometimes I could kick myself in the butt for not going into the medical field a decade ago. Oh well. I guess you are never too old to learn a lesson.
So, for the next few weeks my posts may be fewer than usual. Once I get myself in a routine, I hope my life feels a bit smoother. At this very moment, my mind is moving faster than my body. Since I was in school all summer – with no vacation – the family is going out of town for Labor Day weekend!!! I am looking forward to the much cooler temps in Colorado.
Don’t be jealous fellow Texans
. If I could bottle the cool air and bring it back to you I would.

We made it through the first day of school!!! The boys had a hard time sleeping the night before – they get that from me
.
On Friday, I posted last year’s first day of school photos.
Look at the difference in my two handsome fellas.

Take time to count your blessings.
