Recently, I visited one of my favorite stores – Williams-Sonoma. While browsing, I came across a new gadget to add to my favorite things
.
A cherry/olive pitter. I do not eat olives – but I LOVE cherries!
My cherry addiction began while living in NYC. I made several trips to the corner market buying cherries and fresh pineapple.
The pit inside the cherry is not a big deal when you eat them for a snack. Cooking with cherries is another story.
Look at this delicious bowl of cherries!
The pitter is very simple to use. And a bit messy.

I warned you it was a bit messy. Look at the side of the bowl
.
What should I do with all those cherries?
I will show you tomorrow
.
Happy Monday!

After several busy weeks, I FINALLY had a chance to go shopping! I was having some serious shopping withdrawals. No major moolah spent, but I found something awesome.

Perfect for holiday leftovers, or homemade goodies for friends and neighbors. Only $1 per pack! With lids! These are great for cookies, muffins, candy, or any items light in weight.

20 for $6. I wouldn’t recommend the aluminum ones for heavy food. Plastic deli containers would work best for meat, pasta, soup, etc. I found some great ones at Garnish (they have other items too) and Amazon. Both are very affordable.
But..always a but with me..I was thinking I could possibly get these containers for free. Never hurts to ask your local deli for a few now and then
– especially if you are a regular customer. I will let you know if I am lucky with that idea. Also, if you order deli food – wash and keep those containers to reuse.
Can you tell I am ready for fall? Already have holidays on my mind
. It’s the heat! Horrible, miserable TX heat!
Have a great weekend!

In case you didn’t know, I love clocks! I freak out if I am late for anything, so I think my fascination with clocks might be psychological. Whatever the reason, I love them! Say hello to the new beauty in my kitchen. I debated on this one for quite a while at Hobby Lobby. $25 is a lot for me to spend on décor.

My husband keeps asking “What time will the train be here?”.

Ha!Ha! You crack me up sweetie!
But seriously, two clocks in one. Does it get any better? It makes me smile when I see it. I have a few more décor items to add to the kitchen. I will post those soon.
Happy Monday!
